An Insight into my Fashion ChoicesHow would you describe your fashion style?
The first thing about my closet is that I like to have it diverse. I have pieces that range from basic white tank tops to high end designer pieces. My favorite pattern to wear is floral and I do not like wearing any kind of animal print. Most of my clothes lean towards cleaner and simpler rather than loud and flamboyant. Are there any particular choices that you prefer in color? My color palette leans towards darker toned colors, but I do like the occasional light green or purple pieces. I feel I best look in dark red, olive green, and anything black. I don't like the color orange; I barely have any in my closet besides my UF Gator gear. What is your go-to shoes? Boots are my favorite kind of shoes to wear but recently I have been wearing the white Steve Madden Hansel high top sneaker very often. I don't typically like to wear high thin heeled shoes, but I do love to rock a pair of wedges. Flats do not exist in my closet. How do you shop and where do you find pieces that you like? The first thing that I started doing to upgrade my wardrobe was to thrift shop. I started this in middle school and my mom would take my thrift shopping and I was so surprised by how low the prices were and the amazing finds I would come across. I still do this today and when I go to new places, I love to check out the local thrift stores. Looking for new pieces in particular, I always start off with looking at what resellers have first before buying new. When I do buy new, I make sure that I buy very consciously, and I try to buy from ethical and eco-friendly companies. I absolutely say no to fast fashion. I tried it out for a month and realized how horrible it was for the environment and it was, "get what you pay for" kind of quality. |
